Take Your Concrete Surface to a Whole New Level

Crew Coat by Renew Crew offers specialized coatings that will protect your garage, basement, and other concrete surfaces, all while making them look amazing. Save Time and Money — Hire a Professional

Want your garage floor finished correctly? Hire a professional. Here’s why:

Avoid Hidden Costs

The do-it-yourself epoxy floor kits may seem the cheaper way to go when you visit the home improvement store, but it’s not as clear as you may think. The typical garage floor coating could require multiple DIY kits, and a separate top coat and costly equipment rentals needed to properly prepare the floor. Not to mention, you’ll have to tackle the re-surface the floor sooner due to the limited durability of the DIY products.

Enjoy Long Lasting Durability

When it comes to protective floor coatings, the thickness of the material is instrumental in its durability. A DIY-ed space usually offers 3-5mil of coverage versus 25-30mil when done by a professional. Thinner floor coatings don’t withstand normal use like professional coatings do. Hot tires and normal household chemical spills could wear away the surface.

The life expectancy of a professionally done concrete coating is 15+ years compared to just 3 years when finished with a DIY kit.

Obtain Superior Surface Preparation with Diamond Grinding

Tackling a residential epoxy floor, do-it-yourself instructions suggest acid etching your concrete surface. Acid etching is a multi-step process of washing concrete surfaces with acid, opening its pores and preparing the surface for a protective layer. Unfortunately, acid etching doesn’t remove many of the stains that you may have on your concrete: paint, oil, etc. When those materials can’t be removed, the new coating doesn’t properly adhere to the surface, resulting in chipping.

At Renew Crew, we diamond grind the surface instead. Using a grinder, we prep the surface by removing any top layer stains and buffing the surface, allowing the concrete coating to adhere to the surface in the best possible way.
